Does anyone know how far this can be bored. I have one that needs it. It is at 4.505 now. Again that number is # 14044807. Thanks. EVIL

Just did some googleing. Found the factory recomendeds max of 4.560. Thanks guys.

Looking to buy on of these engines, same numbers. Coming with a complete lot from
A mud truck racer that pasted.. what is a good price range for this engine?
It is complete with ls6 rect heads dominator carb ect... will need to be pulled down and checked.

Also what is the most ci u can make from the block?

I have a sonic test sheet form one of those blocks. Was a Keith Eickert 496... (4.31 bore) and the thinnest thrust surface bore thickness is .317". The average thickness is about .325 and there are a lot of places that are in the .340-.345 range, and as thick as .416". This was a pre-bowtie "marine" tall deck Mk IV.

588 is the most I would go to be safe 4.5x 4.560 but I don't like to live on the edge.
