Bernake is not an economist in a realistic sense. He is just another goon in the Obama admin with a goal of ruining our country

100's of thousands of job losses each month, foreclosures on the rise again, dollar dropping against foreign currencies (down 9% to the Canadian dollar in the last 60 days alone), banks not lending, toxic assets still on the banks books, hundreds of bank failures on the horizen, deficit is soaring, and idiot as president......................................sounds like an Obama recovery to me. Just another series of crisis for the Socialist in chief to take advantage of. The good new is this, the American people or on to him and his BS (along with the idiots in congress) ................JOE WILSON FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!:)devil

I guess he hasn't reviewed the profit and loss statements from the majority of the marine and other discretionary income driven industries lately. At least the ones that aren't already in chapter 11 or 7. :)bulb

Attn Mr Bernanke: People aren't spending money. People are scared. People are losing jobs at an alarming rate. People are losing homes at an alarming rate. Yet all is well now in Washington. That's just great. Thanks for checking in and informing the average citizen idiots that things are all well and good now.

Economists have about as much of a clue about real world economic conditions at the average citizen level, as I have about sewing and knitting.

Too funny, and who can remember the famous quote:

Who said anything about recession, we aren’t in a recession, the economy has just his a rough patch.
It's been tough for quite a while but let's look at some facts:
* The stimulus check you (and all other Americans) got from the Bush administration actually went back into our economy. You'll never-ever receive a dime from the Kenyan. Those stimulus monies are for funding abortions, padding the wallets of his friends, Chicago Politicians, Foreign supporters, America haters, and union bosses. They aren't for the American People.
* The Kenyan's jobless rate has climbed higher and higher throughout his entire tenure, despite his promise of jobs being created by the stimulus bill. He and his mindless Speaker - Pelosi went as far as to warn us of the loss of 800 Million jobs per week if we didn't immediately pass it. Well, they passed it, we still don't have a declining jobless rate and just like him saying he visited all 58 States???? there still aren't 800 Million people in the entire US.
* A true recession includes a number of financial factors all taking place. The most vital of them all is the jobless rate reaching 10%. We are far beyond that in most of the states in the U.S. The entire country is nearing that at 9.6% today and climbing rapidly. This is far from over Bernanke but someone of your I.Q. couldn't even understand simple figures.
http://www.google.com/publicdata?ds=usunemployment&met=unemployment_rate&tdim=true&q=unemployment+rate
* Expecting economics to improve while spending aimlessly, creating and passing bills that don't apply to the makers - who have not read them - and socializing the most expensive medical plan in the world is like getting your household out of debt by applying for 20 new credit cards, maxing them all out and paying off your 6% mortgage.

There simply is no hope for this administration or America while they are in office.
