Took a look inside my jet...my bowl isn't so purdy. I could prolly file out some of the smaller chips. What could be done about that one big one??? Nothing? Also why do you suppose the green anodizing is gone of the bottom section? Is that normal???

That green is actually an aircraft primer. Also sand and or water can take its toll on the finish. Don't know what you can do about the chip.

For some reason I thought it was odd that it would only be wore through on one section.

The bottom is constantly full of water when the boat out of the water, till it evaporates. This will take it's toll on the paint eventually.

The large chip needs to be welded up and then re-shaped.

What's the best way to weld that....I guess it's cast aluminum? Heli-arc? Probably nothing I could attempt with a wire feed or a stick welder?
