I currently have a 496 / Bravo drive in my 26 Eliminator Daytona. That package is coming out and I am going with a supercharged 509 / XR drive. Horespower is @ 750. I am trying to figure out the drive ratio to go with.........1.35:1 or 1.50:1.

What are the pros and cons of the different ratios? Top speed is more important to me then out of the hole performance. Is one ratio any easier on the drive?

1.5 is a stronger gear than 1.34 not by alot though.
You will end up with a 32 or 34 labbed with a 1.5, those are not hard to get new or used.
See KAP's thread on drives, it's good.

If speed is the quest the 1.35 drive , rpm x pitch x .0009469 divide gear ratio x slip note 10% slip .9 15% .85 with that hull and power 108 mph plus. If you have a high x-setting good luck !:)hand 5700 x 32 x 0.0009469 / 1.35 x .85 =108 mph

Most boats with that power level come with 1.35 gear. Keep in mind you are going to run at the same cruise speed at a lower RPM as well.
