Pair take car, but leave big clue behind

Two suspected armed robbers were arrested Thursday after police said the pair stole a vehicle from a Gilbert car dealership during a test drive.
Brandon Olajuwon Lewis Coleman, 22, of Mesa, and Dwight Leon Boochie, 21, of Phoenix, were booked into 4th Avenue Jail for armed robbery and various related charges, Gilbert Police said.
Detectives ultimately were able to find the suspects because of one significant clue: Coleman had his driver's license photocopied by the dealership before the test drive.
"It's a great lead because it gives us a name and a face," Lt. Eric Shuhandler, a Gilbert police spokesman, said.
According to police, Coleman went to Henry Brown Buick-Pontiac-GMC at the Santan Motorplex around 4:30 p.m. Thursday and asked to test drive a 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. A salesman went with the suspect on the test drive.

As they exited the dealership parking lot, a Saturn pulled in front of the Tahoe. Police said Boochie got out of the Saturn and pointed a gun at the salesman, who got out of the car and ran back to the dealership.
The suspects then drove off in the stolen Tahoe and Saturn. The salesman was not injured.
By late Thursday night, Gilbert detectives had located Coleman and Boochie, and found the stolen car in Chandler.

Coleman had the Tahoe's keys in his possession, as well as the gun, which also turned out to be stolen, police said.
