I know I'm a little behind on the MX scene, but I was watching a race last night (Hangtown) and no mention of Bubba. Did he get injured?

Bubba is not racing the MX series this year. He almost decided to race it but before Glen Helen he decided he did not have enough sponsors (sponsorship money) to make it worth it for him race. That's the way I understand what happened. Who knows for sure?

Unfortunately you may not see Bubba this season, as he is riding for L&M Racing, which is a Supercross ONLY team.

Back in the day (jeremy, Mike, Jeff) it was just expected that you race both Supercross and Motocross. Kind of a shock to see him not riding for another team for MX. Although it must be nice to make enough money doing one series to not have to run both. Totally not a bag on Bubba as he has certainly earned what he has.

Kawasaki put all their candy in the Villapoto bowl and Stewart was left without a ride late in the negotiations process. He fully expected to re-sign with Kawi. The other teams had already signed their riders and Bubba ended up on the L&M team which is a Supercross only team. Now that Villapoto is out for the season and Ferry is hurt, I bet Kawasaki is thinking they made a mistake.

I'd like to see him on a Suzuki as I think they have one of the best packages out there as far as hardware goes. I just dont think that Yamaha suited him very well.

Ferry will be back in a few weeks but in then mean time they have Ricky Dietrick filling in and doing a great job. It's a bummer about Vilapoto, i thought he and Alessi where going to have a great battle this year

I wouldn't count Reed out just yet. From what I understand he didn't do nearly as much testing as the rest of these guys and only signed right before Glen Helen. I bet he becomes more of a factor each week, if he stays healthy. I'm not a Reed fan by the way.

Bubba will ride a few selected national's this year so he can race the MX Denation's, you will also see him in the X Games.

It sucks that money seems to playing such a role in deciding to race outdoors or not. Maybe they should combine the series, and point money paid on overall (end of season) points, not separately. I know SX pulls in the fans and the money, but these guys need to race outdoors too.

I agree. By the time he went looking for a ride, Suzuki had already signed Reed. It's kind of frustrating to see last years undefeated champ sitting out the season.

X 2!!! I think that would be the way to do it!!!! I'm not a big fan of supercross to begin with. I would definitely watch a motocross race before a supercross race.. Faster and crazier!!!devil

it wasnt that he didnt want to race, it was yamaha who couldnt afford to pay him all the bonuses if he were to race. it was so last minute the budget was already set so there was no money for him. he wasnt asking for more money than last year, he was just asking for the same amount. i also think larry brooks didnt want to go racing this summer. oh and they should definetly combine the points for supercross and motocross. motocross is were the men race.
