Well it looks like part of Bush's foriegn policy was correct. His beliefe that people in the middle east wanted Democratic rule and "freedom" and that it would soon catch on like wildfire once one nation had it was correct. That nation just happened to be Egypt and not Iraq or Afghanistan.

Thoughts?

This could possibly be correct. We will have to see if the democratic process actually takes hold in these countries, or some new dictator steps in to take the place of the recently overthrown ones.

If the Muslim Brotherhood and regimes like Iran aren't behind things it could be better. The ME has so many issues it's impossilbe to predict. Stability will never be seen in any of our lifetimes. This stuff has been going on for centuries and no way will they become passive, peaceful, and understanding anytime soon. Overpopulation and the inability to even grow a small portion of the necessary food to sustain life within the region will likley make this an ongoing mess for decades and longer.

Yeah and it probably doesn't hurt that it was the people of that nation vs the big bad USA stepping in. I'm sure there is background influence into part of it but a big difference I see is we are not there with our military making it appear that it is just another agenda. Kinda takes the wind out of the Anti American propganda that is so popular everwhere.

In truth, most people in the world would prefer a democratic process over their current alternative governments. That includes the monarchies of Europe, Japan and elsewhere, the dictatorships of much of Asia and Africa, the federations of India and elsewhere and the parliamentary government controlled countries around the world.

Democracy empowers the people's vote, insures freedoms and liberties and allows the common man to participate rather than be imposed upon. It is also the perfect breeding ground for capitalism, commerce and industry. This is why the United States of America is the most immigrated to country in the world and has been for centuries.

With the exception of our resident government workers, anyone would see this as a great thing for these middle easterners. Israel enjoys democracy and many other Middle Eastern Nations want nothing more than to achieve it one day.

* In truth, most people in the world would prefer a true democratic process over their current alternative governments. That includes the monarchies of Europe, Japan and elsewhere, the dictatorships of much of Asia and Africa, the federations of India and elsewhere and the parliamentary government controlled countries around the world.

True Democracy empowers the people's vote, insures freedoms and liberties and allows the common man to participate and form worker unions for protection rather than be imposed upon. Unfortunately American style democracy is the perfect breeding ground for Corporate fascist capitalism, commerce and industry. This is why the United States of America is the most immigrated to country in the world and also the most imperialist and has been for centuries.

With the enlightenment of the wisdom of our resident government workers, anyone would see this as a dangerous thing to replace kings and dictators with Corporate Fascists for these middle easterners. Israel enjoys a subsidized by the US style theocracy and many other Middle Eastern Nations want nothing of that and will be wise to never achieve it one day.

I rest my case!
Here's a guy who openly supports kings and dictators over a democracy!
Best of all, he works for the government and has his salary paid by corporate America and their employees. :notsure::notsure:
