What card do you have?
I think it's a Nvidia of some sort. Can't remember, I built this thing probably 5 years ago. "Nvidia nforce2 AGP" according to the hardware profile.

edit...I finally found the driver on nvidias website...and it was already the most current version... :hmm

May not be able to run at 1600 with your current video card. Mine maxes out at 1360. Using a Samsung 32 for my monitor

Video cards should be updates several times a year, if you DON'T play games a lot (then it's like, bi-weekly).

nvidia.com home page

Just click thru "Download Drivers, select n-force in the top drop menu, which card (like 5 series, 6-series, etc, exactly which card, driver for download type, correct operating system, english language.

Or try the "option 2" auto-find my hardware and driver


I had to do this myself when I bought my 22" 6/9 format LCD.

Many older video cards won't support wide screen. I just went through this and ended up getting a new card that supported the wide screen resolution recommended. Works great now. The new card, with it's own fan, was under $100.
