Really? Yes this is a family boat more or less, I just want to know what the good SBC pans are, in case something used turns up. Thank you

Canton has a nice pan good welds ,Plus check there clearance section you can get lucky and get one at half price that someone ordered wrong and sent back

None of them. You will have windage and pressure problems with all of them. Get a good custom kick out pan from Williams or Dan Olsen. That box style pan idea for a jet boat is garbage. If you spin less than 5000 rpm you’ll be ok. Anything more than 4.00 stroke you’ll find out the hard way.

I do not plan to exceed 5000 RPM. Is a $400 pan overkill? (SBC 400 is 3.75 stroke)

I'm sorry I must have been sleeping when I answered you the first time. No it will be an open system.
Thought I'd warn you that a SBC 400 has steam holes in the head that will quickly get plugged on a raw water system. I have a heat exchanger and run antifreeze in my block.

I am setting up my cooling very similar to how the Packajet was with circulation. Thank you for looking out for me I need all the help I can get.
