Guy is stepping down. Good possibility its due to legal problems that where squashed during his appointment to Car Czar.

Copy and paste below.....typical behavior from a Democrat.

Meanwhile, it may well be that Rattner has some legal problems to tend to. His firm, Quadrangle Group, is under investigation for making payments to an indicted intermediary -- Hank Morris -- an associate of New York's former comptroller to help Quandrangle raise money from the New York state pension plan. Did the airing of the details of this investigation get squashed until after Chrysler and GM exited bankruptcy? If so, it will not be too shocking to see more information come out about the Quadrangle legal situation once Rattner is out of Washington.
And come to think of it, if that turns out to be an accurate guess then President Obama may want steer clear of Rattner's Martha's Vineyard estate -- at least for this summer.

NPR says he's stepping down to get back to family - BS.

And Ron Bloom, the former steelworkers official, is taking his place?? Hooray for more union influence.

Good question. Hussein appoints these czars so they don't have to go through congressional procedure. When will Hussein be challanged on all of his violations of the Constitution? Joe Shelfo Sr.

I heard it explained these are simply, "Presidential Advisors". They report back to the Chairman on specifics of what is going on at the moment and he them advises what he'd like to see happen.

Just more fat on the Government payroll in theory. But let's hope there is someone in Congress with enough snap to track the actions of this group. They are unconstitutional offices if they in any way can direct policy.

They do much more than that. Out of sheer lazyness and political expediency Congress has abandoned much of it's duties to these unelected officials. They do this by passing vague, poorly crafted, legislation and then authorizing these folks to interpret it and thus make policy... :)sphss

It's not just him. Presidents from both parties have appointed them and Congress has abdicated much of it's legislative role to them.:)coffee
