would there be any problem with running a non-marine Q-jet 650 or a holly 750 ?
Closed engine hatch or open engine?
Coast Guard wants a vented/marine J-tube carb on a closed engine hatch AND a spark-arrestor Distributor. However not many actually check but...if something happens like a fire, insurance claims will be tough without the proper vented/marine carb.

Other than what HD said, no. No other troubles to speak of. Just the fuel leakage all over the engine from a float overflow
