So I want to down size my carbs. I have a SBC with a 144 Blower. It has duel 750's on there. Over Carburated? Yea! So I put a single 750 on there and i just cant get over the look of a single carb under a scoop. I Would like to go with a 750 DP but I think the pride for a duel set up is going to get to me.

Any Suggestions?

It seems to have just a tad little bog out of the hole. When up on plane seems to run fine but if I am slowing down and let up off the gas it seems like it floods the engine and she will just up and die and you have to crank it a little bit to clear the fuel then it will start right up.

I have some 550's that i am rebuilding i want to try. Both sets of Carbs are Edelbrocks and I want to try some Holley's Since I hear good things.

A couple of 0-80575S Holleys will do the trick. They work well with that set up. But if the $644.27 ea. scares Ya,You could also use a pair of 0-80592S. These might ease the pocket book pain a little @ $383.14 ea. They work good too, just not quite as trick.
This link lets you see what I'm talking about.

These carburetors are built for blower applications and will solve the problems you are having with the Edelbrocks.

I have a set of 550s powder coated white. I am looking to step up to a set of 750s for the new motor I am building. Would you be interested in a trade?

I've never seen 2 carbs on a 144. Do you have pics you can post ? Interested in seeing the adapter that's used.

Can you list all the motor details (including top rpm used at) so people can help you with a possible better carb choice ?

This is the best pic I could find of the adapter. its a B&M.

as far as the specs go I'm still tryign to find them out as far as pistons, cam etc. There written down on a paper that I'm trying to find. I am not the original owner. The owner cant remember what's in there except and Isky hyd. roller cam.

Interesting. Thanks for the pic.

Honestly, I would go with what typically works. One carb set up for the blower. Any SC carb 800cfm to the 950 should work fine. Assuming the engine has some nuggets (good power) without the blower.
