Used to be the Rebel Market.
Used to be the Rebel Market.I heard there is a good place to buy Carne Asada in Blythe. Does any one have the name and/or location of the place. Need to pick up a few pounds this morning.
Thanks
If I was going to get Carne here in Blythe (not the best in my opinion) I would run over to Ehrenberg. There's a little market about 2 miles North on Mohave 1 (road that runs to Parker). I'll try and find the name of the market if you like (1 mile or so past River Run Bar). I've had Oscar's and I stop by there just about every day and BS with him, just not a fan of his Carne (meat is a little tuff). I typically stock up at Best Buy Market (This is the Chit!!!) in the Mohave Valley when I head home. Just my opinion..I heard there is a good place to buy Carne Asada in Blythe. Now I do like his rotisserie chicken!!! That's some pretty good stuff!!!
Dan recommended Oscars and I think he brought some down last weekend. It was a little tuff.Heard Oscars is realy good, or let me know I can get the stuff around here and send it down.
Probably 2 miles at most. It's called Mercado De Amigo's in Ehrenberg. Just head over the freeway make a right at the T and it's just up the road. I talked to my coworker that lives in Ehrenberg and she also mentioned the new Ranch Market here in Blythe has pretty good Carne. She said to get the Ranchetta cut (sorry spelling). Anyways enjoy!!!!How far away from Flying J is that. I going to get fuel also.
Ha, sorry for the run around!!!OK that was a long trip. But very worth it. I first went to Flying J for fuel and decided to go into Ehrenburg and try De Amigos. They did not have any made up yet so I decided to go to Oscars off Lovekin. Well they do not take Credit Cards.
Last stop Ranch Market in the K-mart shopping center on Hobkinns. I was really impressed with the size and quality of the meat counter. Not only that if you want the crazy stuff like tongue, brain, stomach, intestines, pig feet and even bull balls this is the place.
They had two different cuts of Carne and Pollo also. Butcher recommended to squeeze a lemon into the bag. I even got a nice piece of Checharoni con Carne to chew on the drive home.
Drove by a firework stand and filled up on some fireworks for the kids to shoot off back at home during the summer weekends.
I will post up in a few days how it tasted. Have a great 4th.
The stuff I brought was the stuff you wanted, its the stuff that Bob got the other weekend. I did not like it.Dan recommended Oscars and I think he brought some down last weekend. It was a little tuff.
Enjoy the beach!
You know it. Rocky Mtn oysters!!!Its funny you asked how many Bull nuts for Dan. He is the person I thought of also when I saw them.
You know where he is stopping on the way out.
More like a week!!! It does have descent flavor but nothing special.. I guess we're just spoiled.. We tried it a handfull of times and the wife didn't like it. That's why I make trips up to Mohave Valley and by 100 bucks worth and freeze it...Oscar's is probably my Favorite for taste but he sells so much of it you need to get it and let it set in yer fridge for a few days so it can marinate
Lovekin liquor is ok sometimes it's a little salty
Ranch Market's Carne and Pollo are both really good for Pollo i get the fajita mix
The market in Ehrenberg is pretty good not my favorite but it will work in a pinch
