hey guys, got a question for you all, s.d 309 ,aa impellor, 351 w, suked a rok in last week, oops, impeller n.f.g... got brand new one on , comes out of the hole awsome,, then just about to plane out and she spinns her wheel hard! wear ring looks great, pump ony has 20 hrs on it, grate clean bowl clean, any other things i should be lookin for? thanxs.

i ordered the same size and model,"aa" was on the old and the new one has "aa" stamped on it also, they both look the same, i didnt use a feeler gauge to check the gap from wear ring to impeller, but it seems to fit alright? took the bowl off last nite and found a little piece of rubber on one of the blades??? would this be my issue????

thanxs tom!! i feel a little better, had visions of all kind of bad things!lol. so ill skid her to the river and well try this again. is there such a thing that i can use to cover the grate when in trailering her to the river? gravel roads are what i deal with when takin her to the drink. thanxs for yur help,,, again. mike
Some people lay carpet across the rear section of the bunks on the trailer that covers the intake while trailering.
with a new imp: you may need a different pickup grate , get a good scoop type ( texas side loader? )need more water coming in.
