Nice combo of parts. Like the fact that the cam is not something over the top radical. Interesting lobe sep on it.

I'd sure like to see a pull from 5,000 to 7,500 just for kicks.

Thanks for sharing, that stroke sure makes some trq :|err

What do the heads flow ?

I wanted to but time did not allow it. The SV1 is square jetted at 99s. I will lean it out when I get some time on it. The idle and throttle response is excellent, I am excited to see how this carb works in the boat. This is the first SV1 I have tried. Galen

Intake flows a hair over 400cfm, exhaust flows 330.
How big of a hair ?

A 1,060 hp on 400 cfm .....that is impressive.

Like I said, Nice combo, I hope it all works well in the boat for you.

I don't know anything about dyno sheets so here goes. Is the A/F for air fuel ratio? If so, why is the right side in th 11's and the left in the 14's. I would think that both sides would be the same. I would think the engine turning those rpm the vacuum would be lower than that. Those look to me like a stock engine at idle.

His post stated to ignore the lean 02 sensor. I wonder if he could have jetted to get to 12.5 if it would had made a difference. ?

As far as the Vac goes, certainly not hooked up. I've had them read like that before when not hooked up. Last time it was hooked up the 565" had 1.4" at 7,000 through a 1,050 .

Sleeper, we did not put the heads on a flow bench. Indy claims 400 cfm with the cnc385 at .800. We did go with 2.35 from 2.300 valves and Chuck and Pete at Best Machine hand blend the bowls, ports and intake. These heads run a 13deg.valve angle which they say really helps unshroud the valves at 4.5 bore. I have seen similar heads in the 410 range. Tim, ignore the left bank, we had an 02 sensor fail. Engine was on the rich side 11.6 avg. Running 100 jets all 4 corners. Since have gone to 99s. Once I get it in the boat with dual wide band 02s I will lean it out to 12.9 to 13.1 range. Galen

Thanks for the airflow info. You guys did a great job with those parts.

On the jetting .......12.5 gives it some room (excess fuel) to cool.

Thanks sleeper, I was thinking of running it a little rich also, I would cry if I hurt it. I tell people as you know it just liked the combo of parts. a comparable chevy would be cheaper to build but I like to be different. The intakeports flow nice due to the dogleg is gone, note the offset rockers. Here are a few pics.
