Concrete question ??

857 Views 5 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  cassandrajensen
If there are any concrete contractors on the boards would like to get a price on a 4" x 10' x 18' slab. Concrete calculator notes about 2 1/2 yards of mud, say at $100 per yard, plus delievery & finishing.

What should this cost ??

10' wide access, will have to be wheel barrowed to area, about 50' from street.

Thanks for your time and expertise.

I own Lennys Concrete Pumping and I can get you a finsher if you have the area set up.They charge $250 to finsh.
The big hit is the concrete for 2 1/2 yards my price is $84 a yard but what they dont tell you is the envormental fee/short load fee/and tax so just concrete 2 1/2 yards 2500psi is $445.
I dont know what area your in but if I can help Please Call I cover from Corona/Dana Pt/San pedro to LA.

Lenny,

Thanks for the info and offer, I'm in Arizona, Phoenix area, $84 per yard would be a smokin deal.

Initial bid from local contractor was $950 from start to finish, with 2 year warranty, so looking to see where they stand.

Thanks again.
..

i'd do it if it was in oc. I have a short load guy who charges $125 to show up at the location and $100 a yard after that. Wish you were closer id help you out in a heartbeat.

concrete grinding tampa

Prepping for an epoxy floor in a residential basement. Currently grinding concrete with a rented grinder, we stripped off old mastic floor adhesive, and under that is a coating of tar over the concrete. The diamond * we use were working well but after a few hours the tar starts “melting” into the concrete rather than stripping off. Half of the floor looks good and half doesn’t. I don’t know how else to describe it. I suspect the heads are getting hot, thus melting / softening the tar. There is no speed control on the grinder but it generally runs slow. Tomorrow I may try hooking up water hose instead of using the vacuum for dust control, hoping the water may help keep things cool. Don’t really want the water in the basement though. Anyone have a better suggestion? I have ground a lot of concrete but never ran into this.
