I am planing a winter build and was wanting to know the pros and cons of the Dart and Merlin blocks, which one do you prefer and why.

Target, 1000 hp from a blown 565. on meth. :D

Plan on making that meth yourself?

Dart is a better block.

I have a complete 522 blown on meth. Makes an effortless 1000 HP. Pushed the mini van into the 9's. Doesn't have any time on it at all.

Would save you a ton of $$ trying to piece one together.

problem is, I can't put that much money togather all at once. Casino has paid for the block. Now I am working towards a rotating assembly. And half the fun is the build.

We have a payment plan. :)

Don't buy anything until you check with me. Even if buying 1 piece at a time.

So does the bank.

It has a clear title now and I'm gonna keep it that way. :|err:D

I will get with you and see what you have to offer, I'm old but I'm also open minded. Post up some pics and some specs on the 522, let me know in a pm what you got to have for it.

Oh and Ron
Thanks:)hand

I would go with the Dart block, World does not machine their own blocks as they are machined by royal oak.

If you need a price on a block all machined give me a call as we CNC machine all our blocks and we are a W-D for Dart and we offer blue print cam tunnel work and lifter bore over sizing as well.

Why doesn't anyone include Brodix blocks or heads into these threads? A superior product IMHO!

Anything you buy from Ron will not only be priced right... It will be right ! 100%. His middle name is INTEGRITY,,,, By the way... I'll bite... How much for the motor Ron?

I have used both with no problems from either. The Merlin blocks use standard lifters and Dart require the tall body lifters. (extra $) And for the Brodix question...I like the Donovan block if we are going alum., just bear in mind it will require a custom oil pan.

Looks like it's a Dart block for this build :D Along with Dart heads and an 871 Hampton blower. Internals still undecieded.
