After Steve Sherman told me of his trip to Half Moon Bay in his 28, I knew I had to do it some day also. We left Saturday morning in the 30, stopped for lunch at Sam's in Tiburon and were inside the seawall at the harbor in Half Moon Bay by 1:00. The winds were fairly light but we still had a 1.5 meter (5') swell out in the open ocean, which kept us down to 70-80mph for everyone to be comfortable running the coastline. Pretty cool to leave the gas dock at Discovery Bay Marina at 10:00, go all the way down to Half Moon Bay after a nice lunch stop and still be back at my dock by 3:00. This will definitely be a run that I add to my list every year........
