im getting ready to put a new project back on the water and was hoping you might have some info on this model. i got some hear say from the guy i bought it from that it may have been rigged by you when it was new. it was rigged and built well. its a 1990 monaco v-drive. it origionally had a pfaff blown 468 with a t 400 and casale (32's), minkins 11/14 x 15 three blade. its getting a blown 509 w/ about 900 hp. ring any bells? have you ever had any expieriance with this model? is it gonna be worth a crap? any idea how they handle? thanks for any help, nelson.

Built that boat for the guy that owns Action Alingment in Cypress. That boat has quite a story behind it. That boat is the second one that I built for Nate. The first one was completely destroyed on the Newport Freeway just 40 miniutes after delivery.

any chance i could call and get the skinny on it? im chompin at the bit to get it in the water! my fingers are crossed, i hope it runs well. other than the power plant, as far as i know, it is still all the same as when you did it. i was laughing when i took the interior out and saw the "made in mexico" on the side. if the old lady wasnt so in the dark about my past good times, id be naming it " laid in mexico". i would love to hear more about it if you ever have the time. btw which one was nicer? the one that wore it on the newport freeway, or this one? thanks, nelson.

Nelson,

Nice Eliminator!

Brent
thanks

thanks brent, i hope it runs as good as it looks. its a cool find, not to common. i had the engine in, ran it for less than a minute. it had some issues, so i pulled it and went to town on it. scott foxwell has done a ton of work on the engine and i think ill be running an honest 900+hp up arround 6 to 6500 rpm. its gonna be a pump gas deal, but i think ill keep it on av gas to be safe. i will still have some work to do through the winter, mostly hardware cosmetics, but i hope to run it in the next couple weeks.
