I have had it. I phuckin hate this company. I have had Direct TV service for one year now. Over that year the service has gone out 5 times. Every time a tech has to be sent out to my house. (So I can sit at the house for a half day and wait on the ***er) I have to argue with customer service every time to waive the service charge of $49. When service goes out its down for 3-4 days, once it was down for 10 days while they shipped me a new DVR and then sent out a tech because it still was not working. I went and sent up AT&T uverse, which kicks azz! I call to cancel Direct TV and they want to charge me a cancellation fee of almost $300.00. For all the shit I've been put through. phuck direct TV

Does anyone know how to get around this fee? I've argued with them all I can, I'm burnt out.

I thought about this, but for me its more expensive to do that than it is to cancel...

One of the craziest deals I have ever seen pulled off on the public is an open contract such as DTV has. They successfully hid the 2 year contract deal in very small print in the "Equipment" section.
You are in a contract for 2 years but they can raise the price anytime and not a damn thing you can do about it. Delete channels....whatever they want to do......you are still obligated to pay.
December 1 is my day to throw DTV out the door and I cannot wait.

If anyone needs a hookup on Dish Network or Verizon FiOS let me know.
We can activate Nationwide.
Both services have some killer deals right now
Be glad to take care of you.

Not to mention they took away Versus and now want me to pay for ESPN Classic................................Verizon FIOS here I come...
Is this true??? They want to charge for classic? For shows which are repeats and the outcome is known??? That's BS......I have DTV and HATE them too.

Check the fine print in your contract or agreement they will also charge you for your receivers if they are not delivered to them in 10 days from the date of cancellation, Not to mention those POS rec are not worth what they will charge you for them. Also if you do not pay within 90 days they will dig your credit.

Buckle up your in for a ride.

I've got DirecTV in the toy hauler, so I'm sorta stuck with them.
But I haven't really had any issues at all.

Once again, if u r fed up with playing by their rules, look into a FTA receiver. Buy the box, hook into your router , program it and go. No locals are up yet, but porn is, oh and so are the fights.
