Folsom Follies first two gatherings of the year will be May 10 & 24.

Fun day and possibly night on the lake for taking some runs and hanging out before the brilliant water wizards drain the lake again.

The KING will be holding court for those that still have not received their Folsom blessings. Pasties available upon request.

Come join in for some fun. Staying over night requires filling out a card with the rangers and possibly a small fee, can't remember. It is really cool to spend the night on the hook up by the rapids.

If we have enough who want to we can BBQ on some beach maybe. If someone wants to organize it jump in and lets "geterdone".

Anyone got some fun ideas for competetive games in pastie cove besides pole dancing?

Who's up for a gathering at pastie cove???????????

We're in! I think spending the night out there is a great idea. Depending on the water level at the time I will find us a beach to BBQ on....I've got a few in mind. A pastie contest will definetely be in order!

I'll be there. however, I doubt that I'll camp. Our house is only 3 minutes from the **** 8 launch ramp.

If people do camp the only way I could get the wife on-board is if we stayed here. It's the only place with "flush" bathrooms. It is across the lake from Granit Bay. You can boat over to it and leave your truck and trailer at Granite Bay. The sites are not far from the beach to get your gear in. I have done it once before. I was thinking of an overnight trip to Camp Far West in May, so this could work out.

Peninsula
This secluded campground is located near the end of the peninsula between the north and south forks of the American River. You can reach the area by boat or you can drive in ten miles from the little town of Pilot Hill on Highway 49. The campground has 100 family campsites that will accommodate trailers up to 18 feet in length and motor homes up to 24 feet. Hookups are not provided at the individual campsites, but there is a sanitary dump station. Flush toilets and piped drinking water are available. There are two launch ramps and a day-use area near the campground. You can also camp ashore with your boat at Peninsula campground in a designated campsite. You will be required to beach the bow of your boat and anchor off the stern. A secure tie-up is essential as the wind often rises during the night.

Sounds like camping may not be in the cards for most but opening up Pastie Cove properly on May 10 should be a blast.

Dont forget that boating is prohibited on the lake after dark. Ranger Rick will nab you if he hears or sees you. You might be ok on the hook, not sure though. Have fun guys.:)
