  • Custom v-drive aluminum front motor plate, 0.3125" thick, 25-1/2 wide, 24-1/4 bolt mount centers, polished, fits OEM front timing cover and has spacers already welded on backside, integral timing pointer, Neovane or Nicson waterpump mounting, a lot of fab work went into this, Ford 460, PRICE REDUCED: $179 + shipping
  • Lenco v-drive bell housing, BBC model reworked to bolt to 460 Ford, originally drilled for Lenco trans and also drilled for Owens trans, race proven functional, $99 shipped. [SOLD]

can you get me the width of the front mount v-drive plate. Need to see if it will fit my stringers?

My apologies, Adam, I should have had those measurements posted: the v-drive front plate is 25-1/2 wide, with 24-1/4 bolt mount centers.

I'm building a "K" boat. Ford powered.

Before we go to far, will this front plate work with your custom timing cover?
Due to I'll be running off the nose of the crank, the Lenco bellhosing will work great just to cover the flexplate..

If the front mount won't work with your timing cover, I'd still like to work a deal on your timing cover and Lenco bellhosing.?

The v-drive motor mount plate is designed to be used with a factory Ford front timing chain cover. Notice the stand-offs welded to the backside of the mounting plate down by the crankshaft:



Those stand-offs vary in length because the OEM timing cover has the same variations in mounting bolt lengths down by the crankshaft:



Also, the custom mounting plate (pictured above) has an integral waterpump block-off plate for the OEM cover and which will not fit our cover.

Conversely, our Quick Change Timing Cover has all equal-length bolt holes:



The most common engine mount setup with our cover seems to be running a mount from the two lower-most mounting holes (on either side of the crankshaft) out to the stringers/frame tubes. They may be seperate mounts for each side of the cover or you may fab one single mount that reaches from stringer to stringer.

So you'd be looking at a Quick Change Timing Cover and the Lenco bell housing. By the way, the seal boss on our cover may be machined to accomodate a seal for the 1.61" Rat snout. I think that in your snout-driven application the Lenco bell housing is perfect as a flywheel cover and starter mount (stronger than your typical flywheel covers). The Quick Change Timing Covers are in stock and I'll give you a multi-purchase discount on the two parts you are inquiring about as long as they are both still available.
