Well, thats reassuring.

Little late for that guys- you had your chance when Reagan tried to fix this problem and you (France) were most unhelpful.

These are the same guys that made Reagan fly AROUND their airspace when we "incentivized" this clown to change his behavior the first time.

Id like to see the europeans get the task of taking out the ground to air vs our guys.

The italians need to step up since they are one of the two main reasons the guy is still here to deal with.

Lets not forget that asshat Craxi "rang up" Ghadaffi last go round to let them know where and when we were coming so he could get out of town early - Nice of him to leave his family "back at the ranch" while he bailed.

Time to let the "euro" guys do a little heavy lifting for a while.

Its good to know the French will always be there when they need us.

A little late, but the UN has now voted a no -fly zone . Gadafi apparently learned from Saddam's mistakes as he immediately called a cease fire to prevent intervention....Meanwhile the Saudi Royal family is paying billions in cash to it's citizens not to cause problems. ( Hmmm, maybe that is also why we pay so much welfare in this nation). Strange that they then send military units to save the Bahrain Royal family... Obama really jacks with them by sending a woman of mass destruction. The Hildabeast ..At least he is not sending our troops into this Mideast / N. African morass

Although I am a little stumped by how the President has been so slothful in responses for anything in the last few months, I wish he would have just said no like I thought he would have. He was so against going after Saddam to remove him why now all of a sudden he is willing to remove leaders in Egypt and Libya. I am really tired of tax money going to these other countries. How about he takes that money to build another fuel distribution foundation so we can just stop buying and supporting mid east countries. Where is the principal beliefs here?

Interesting article European governments

I found this interesting quotes...

Senate Foreign Relations Committee chairman John Kerry (D-MA) also doubled down on his call for a no-fly zone over Libya in a speech on Wednesday at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace.

"The international community cannot simply watch from the sidelines as this quest for democracy is met with violence," he said. "The Arab League's call for a U.N. no-fly zone over Libya is an unprecedented signal that the old rules of impunity for autocratic leaders no longer stand... The world needs to respond immediately to avert a humanitarian disaster."

And Clinton's former top aide Anne-Marie Slaughter accused the Obama administration of prioritizing oil over the human rights of the people of Libya.

"U.S. is defining ‘vital strategic interest' in terms of oil and geography, not universal values. Wrong call that will come back to haunt us," she wrote on Wednesday on her Twitter page.

If we stopped welfare and its not so distant cousin, SSI, there would be riots, looting, burning of cars, buildings, etc. You can bet on that!

I really have no problem with the welfare if people actually need it. The problem is the people running the program.

Same with SS. I have no issue with providing a program that would allow people to have money for retirement, but again the people in government that run these programs are criminals at best. I will never get out of SS what I put in. The fund is non existent anyway.

Is it even possible to have funds like this and have the government run it correctly?

One more thing...

How the hell did the thread take this turn.;)

I wonder what the mighty Arab League is contributing to the attack beside a vote.

Who is cutting checks for this?

The Arabs should be able to keep their own "drunk uncle"" under control.
