if i was to put bigger tanks and change the motor to run on pump fuel would that help my bahner stay in the family or just wasting money and time..any ideas would be helpful. example emerald cove to parker dam and back = i tank of gas(11gals) does that sound right or is it drinking to much fuel. ok driving habit is alittle in it and just cruising around 3000 rpm's, kinda lost at this point..trying not to put up for sale so quick if there is a option to keep boat without going broke on fuel...:D

what combo u runnin? that sounds like way too much fuel u jumpin the dam and goin across havasu? :D just kidding let me know

86 bahner 454 bored to a 468 single carb dbl pumper, hyd diverter,13to1 comp.2 peeps in boat. hope this helps, some other people i have talk to said sounds about right.it was a rough weekend with all the other boats so i think i was in it alittle to keep from being splashed and beat so bad, didnt want to idle and had to adjust that turning it over a few extra times..:D

13 to 1 pretty much sums it up thats gonna be a problem if u plan on running pump gas in the future :)Violinlet me know what ur gonna do

87 should work wonders on that motor:D just put the bigger tanks in and go for it :|err

just gonna stay with what i got, way to much money to change it over to pump gas i am finding out.. it runs like a stripped ass ape. its fun just expensive,,:D

Are you asking if your current engine can be modified for pump gas? Any thing is possible. Alot would depend on your cylinder heads. If your running closed chamber, you could go open chamber and lower your compression. At that point your cam woud be mis suited for your motor(prolly to much overlap) so a cam swap would be in order.I'd say bite the bullet and run it until you can afford to build a pump gas blower motor. Thats what I hope to do. But I've been saying that for 2 years now. I can buy a hell of a lot of 110 for a few grand (it's the inconvience that kills me). Just tell the gf that in a couple of months 110 will be cheaper than diesel.;)

hey h20, thats exactly what i decided to do. the cost would be close to 3k to do everything to it, so it runs strong and good and is loud like i like it..just going to use it the way it is.. there is no incovience to get it down here, so it will all work out and what i pay for 110 aint bad..comparing.. on my other thread (spankin) i piped in to let evrybody aware of what she said and we decided to do with it.. thanks. when you coming this way to boat..got a place for you to stay. here in vegas or down on the river below havasu,, your welcome anytime..:)devil
