Is there a good fuel injection cleaner that would really do a good job cleaning the injectors you can add to your gas (my truck) or are they just a waste of money...truck is a 05 Dodge Ram with 45,000 miles..seems like my mileage might be down just slightly..thanks

BG products are the best I have found. Most dealers carry it.
I have heard that's good stuff as well. I use either MMO or Lucas. I like the Lucas, as it is in single-serving bottles. I run that in the wife's '04 Yukon every other tank or so. I run MMO in the diesel or RedLine Diesel Catalyst. It likes either of those.

Do you guys see a noticeable difference in performance and fuel economy after you run the stuff.....

With the BG 44k it will idle smoother and tip in on acceleration will be better. Depends on how dirty the motor is on how much of a difference you will feel.

A crappy rough missing idle is usually injectors or plugs. Crappy milage can also be due to a bad oxy sensor.
Can you have a bad oxy sensor without the check engine light coming on...

All of the the ones you pour in the tank have been junk!! I use sea foam and I get the engine up to running temp and pull off the brake booster vacuum line and pour it straight in , about half a bottle then turn the truck off , wait about a hour and then go drive it.

Depends on how far gone it is. Oxy sensors are a depletable component. In time they will report a lean condition. The ECU will respond within parameters. Outside those parameters, you'll get a check engine light. You didn't say how bad the milage was. The check engine light is just as likely to come on due to injector condition as a oxy sensor. If the open time the ECU determines for the injectors gets outside normal parameters too far due to clogging, the check engine light can come on.

I swear by Seafoam products, but i would love to hear how pouring Seafoam into the intake manifold cleans the injectors. If you put in the tank, will it clean you throttle body, and idle air control valve?

Sea Foam is a great product. You put 1/3 of the bottle in your tank, 1/3 in the crankcase and run 1/3 thru a vacuum source such as the brake booster hose. FYI, fuel injection cleaners that you pour into the tank don't really clean injectors 100% Reason being is that injectors have tiny screens at the end and once those screens get a little dirty the only way to get them 100% clean is to remove the injectors and sonically clean them. We do this all the time on vehicles that come into my shop w/ engine performance issues. We remove the injectors and we send them out to another shop has has the proper equipment to do this. They even do a flow test before and after. One thing that injector cleaner helps with is removing some of the carbon build-up on intake valves and tops of pistons. Carbon build-up on these areas is a major contributor to a decrease in performance and gas mielage. O2 sensors are critical as well. If you have an OBD2 system your ECM will trigger the MIL (malfunction indicator light) to come on and produce a trouble code. If your MIL is not lit then don't worry about it. A fuel injector cleaner that I recommend to all my customers and I run in my personal vehicles is made by Chevron. It comes in a black bottle and the name is Pro-Gard. I don't like the Lucas because it's kind of on the oily side.

X400. I put RedLine fuel system cleaner in my second dually (Vortec 454), which was the FIRST EVER I had used in the thing at 65,000. Smoothed up the idle and tip-in, as mentioned. After that, using regularly, I didn't really notice anything. Which means, I didn't notice bad stuff, either.

The paint section at home depot has the best cleaner. either xylene or toluene will clean the crap out of your fuel system. If you go that route make sure to have a new fuel filter though. If there's any gunk or varnish in the take or the lines it will end up in the filter.
