Single Carb 509, roller cam, rectangle port heads, 1050cfm 4150 QFT carb, single plane intake. 15* gears, runner bottom flat.

My current fuel system for my engine is a T-tank with -8 coming out the bottom to a filter and holley blue, -8 to the regulator inlet then -6 out each port of reg to each fuel bowl.

I want to add nitrous, I have another -8 port on the bottom of my t-tank. I want to run -8 to a holley blue, then run -6 from regulator to nitrous fuel solenoid?

Im all ears, educate me.

We run one big pump 360 gph, the holley blues are good for changing your oil. Run a pressure safety switch on your nitrous fuel side. What you suggested will work fine, but still run the switch.

i agree the blue's really arnt the best, been looking at magnafuel pumps.

I've run the same setup for the last 8 years, off and on. never had a fuel related issue.

That is basically how mine was set up when I bought the engine for the boat .. Mine was a Holley Black pump # 8 line to the pump and then a # 8 line to the fuel regulator and then #6 to the fogger system . I did have the low pressure switch for the fuel system installed . I had mine set up on a button on the steering wheel and not on a full throttle switch . Not sure what way would be the best . I do know for a fact . DO NOT hit it after the boat has taken a set and is running about 80-90 mph .. It almost tossed me out at Steel Creek once doing that .. Need to hit it at the start of the run and hold it down .

do you still have any of your nitrous stuff billy? good info to know, i damn sure dont like swimming. i have a WOT switch for my carb so im goin to try that. might go to a progressive setup. im guessing 550 on motor and 200 on spray. goin to try and keep up with you this year.

If the motor can handle the additional HP, nitrous is a perfect power adder for drag racing. Our set up is a single -12 line from the tank to a magnafuel pump. From the pump to the regulators is a -10 line. The motor has a magnafuel regulator to the carb with -6 lines to each bowl and a separate -6 line from a Holley 12-803 reg to the nitrous solonoid. The Maganafuel puts out to much pressure with the tank so close to the regs, I modified the relief to drop the pressure from almost 30 lbs to about 18-20 lbs so the small holley reg can control the nitrous supply. We don't run the safety switches on the nitrous system. IMHO, they open the door for more problems than they solve if you maintain your stuff. Our combo is a single 4 barrel 800 HP pump gas motor and we spray around 100-125 HP for about 3 seconds from the hit in a 9 second flat.

I've run both a button on the wheel and a WOT switch on the carb with good luck using either. I agree to put all the HP to a flat on the leave as it will usually let you pull at least 1 gear larger than without and the boat sets cleaner. We don't spray the motor hard but have never had the boat get ignorant if I need to bump the spray near the finish to tighten it up a bit. I'm guessing if you're spraying with a fogger, you're hitting it pretty hard but smaller shots don't have a problem bumping the button if the boat's set up right....

I will second the no pressure switch just problems waiting to happen.

This will work no problem. On my 21 cruiser I run a aeromotive street/strip pump for my dedicated fuel pump for nitrous enrichment. -08 from tank to pump, -06 from pump to reg, and -06 from reg to solenoid.
