Gasoline Powered RC Boats

Hows everyone doing today?

Hopefully well. :D

So one of my buddys bought a Gas powered RC Boat. The Black Jack 55" Cat.

After watching him run it a bit I was hooked as usuaul with any RC item. I was wondering if anyone here has any gasoline powered RC boats. If so what kind and how do you like it?
I want something that will run in the 40-50 mph area and must be a cat.

Here are some links of some boats I was found intresting.
Maybe you guys have some other connections or sites with some info.
I just want to make sure the boat is better than my buddys Black Jack or by a Used black jack to make faster.

I have to older model of the link below. Its a 46 inch deep vee with a 30cc water cooled 2 stroke. It runs right around 40, and handles some chop. I actually sunk it in lake Michigan with 3-4 footers. It hoped a big wave and stuffed the bow.

Thats cool. I want a stromng boat as well cause I am sure I will get board with flat water and will want to run her is some rough stuff. Basically do everything with the RC Boat I would never do In a real boat. LOL

Dont buy the BlackJack 55.

It is a decent boat, but needs a lot of work and upgrades.

Look to get the MTI hull or an AeroMarine Avenger hull

My buddys Black Jack everytime it flipped would get the coil wet and not run for an hour. It flipped one time fairly good and cracked the hull were the top mold meets the bottum. That was his second day playing with it.
Do you have any suggestions to look for the mentioned hulls?

I have a 1 gallon jug of Wildcat race fuel for a RC car (I assume it is the same for a boat). Anyway I do not have my car anymore, so if anybody wants it let me know. For FREE in Goodyear/Phoenix AZ.

You can run a higher nitro content in a boat with a water cooled head, but same basic stuff!

i have a new miss hydro nitro boat and set-up for sale, sob does 45mph all day long and looks wicked , runs like a drag hydro on the water. i upgraded the prop, muffler, installed a header cooler, ported the head, removed head shim, straightened and speedcoated the bottom. would take 250 for it all, including the belt drive starter/ 2qts of 30% boat nitro and show stand.

When I was looking to buy one of these, I called these guys, www.funrcboats.com

They were very helpful and knowledgeable with the Avenger by Aeromarine. Its not as big as the blackjack but will run circles around it.
This is there best package, http://www.funrcboats.com/ProductInfo.aspx?productid=AER1140RTRF

The MTI hull is manufactured by Express Craft. http://www.expresscraft.com/mticat.htm
It is sweet looking but looks like it needs twin inline motors to get some good speed due to its size.

I know you are probably looking for something on a budget as this is just a toy, but this website is pretty cool. http://www.swissmodelpowerboatteam.ch/smbpt/main.asp?site=videos
They have carbon fiber hulls with twin engines and twin surface drives.

Then there is these for the big ballers. last one is the best.
