Have any of you found a trick to remove the timing chain cover from a 454 MPI Gen VI engine without removing the oil pan. I would like to do this in the boat rather than removing the engine. Thanks!!

Yes it is posible but you must loosen the pan bolts to give you the room. Your pan seal is one piece rubber and if in good cond will seal again.

if your purpose is so you can change the cam...put a 2 piece cover on it...problem solved! :)...just sayin'
