Wifes company is paying for the trip including some playing around money. Any suggestions on things to do there? We will have 2 days of play time and thought about doing some tourist type things. Anyone been on the http://www.bostonducktours.com/? How about the boat shuttle over to Cape Cod? I have been to Boston several times when i was driving truck but never got to see more then the view from the loading docks.

Definitely hit the area around the ball park...Especially if there is a game (getting to the game would even be better). The Ducktours are great. You see all the history of the city by land and water.... Its well worth it. Oh yeah after thats theres always CHEERS!

Thanks for the info, looks like the ducktour made it to the list of things to do.. forgot about the "cheers" bar and thats only 2 miles from our Hotel. I checked the game schedule and they are not playing while we are there but will still check into the tour. The constitution made it on the list also. We have day one pretty much planned out but still have one full day left to fill.

Duck Tours a must
Fenway Park Tour a must ($12), games are great. Scalp some tickets after the 1st pitch is thrown.
North Side/Little Italy area is great.
Everyone will point you to the Union Oyster house for dinner but its really not that good. Neat place but food is marginal.

I got back from there last night. My in-laws live in Alton, New Hampshire near Lake Winnepasaukee (A big lake, 30 miles across in spots). Spent a week, drove to Montreal via Burlington, Vermont for a quick overnight jaunt. That made the whole trip for me.

All of the above are good ideas. If you're into the fishes the aquarium is really cool as well. If you get a rent a car head up 95 to Portsmouth NH for the afternoon (1 dollar toll, but no NH sales tax for stuff), then drive across the bay to Kittery, Maine for dinner at Warrens. The wife and I split two 1.5 lb lobsters, potatoes, salad bar etc.. for 47 bucks.

Here's a few things to consider:
1. faneuil hall - outdoor mall in the middle of downtown - decent restaraunts/bars/shops, etc...
2. Boston Northside (Little Italy) - Excellent Italian restaraunts.
3. Marthas Vineyard - take the ferry over and check the place out - vintage New England vacationing.
4. Cambridge - very good BBQ restaraunt - ask your hotel concierge for the name of the place, the name escapes me (maybe Red Bones???).
5. Fenway - Red Sox games are quite the experience.
