race preped bowl pics? anybody got any? i would like to clean the back side up . also 9.25 & 9.50 ,hh etc ,impeller pics, brands etc. thanks.. i might need another impeller. impellers need not be prepped for pic but both will do. thanks ,in advance.

Turbo Wog, glad to see you still have 10 fingers after that polishing job, nice job. Those work decent out of the box so no need to get to too crazy on them.

The surface finish isnt nearly as important as getting rid of blunt edges or imperfections. Special files, cut off wheels are key for getting in corners etc. Sharp corners clear to the hub is important on the impellers but dont get carried away, lot of impellers cracking from too much detailing. You can detail a part to the point it will eventually crack and need to be replaced with bigger hp, need to avoid that.

HH stuff already has a nice hub so that part comes in pretty easy where an AMT non HH is alot of work to get a nice hub shape but very worth spending the time to do it.

After testing a few different impellers I went to MPD to get one done for my 21. In it's stock form I had a AA American turbine impeller in my 21 and it ran 112 with my power at 6300 rpm.

After taking that stock impeller and letting MPD go to work on it the boat now runs 115 at 6100 rpm and no cavitation on a holeshot on motor. Haven't tried a nitrous hit on a holeshot yet. So it picked up 3 mph and dropped the rpm 200. Which for my river cruiser is great because it is a heavy boat and I want to spin as little rpm as possible.

AMT will do prep work on an impeller for a extra charge I have yet to see any comparison tests on their impellers vs others.

Looks like the fins on your bowl have been cut back too far in the past. Maybe Chris can answer this one better. May need to start with an unmolested bowl if youre gonna drop some money on a nice detail.
