I'm gonna change out the speedo for a gps unit. I was leanning towards a Gaffrig.

Any comments on what to buy?

I went with the white Autometer to match my exisiting gauges, seem to track actual speed much better, and don't give false reading when a current is involved.

Yup! that is exactly what I would recommend. The portable model is best because you can take it out of the boat and use for other vehicles etc...

Note: You will need a 12volt outlet and a place to mount it on the dash.

I was in Florida and used my Garmin to navigate around the different cities very useful little tool.

Very accurate in terms of speed.
