They are very nice hull, have a friend and his is in the triple digits. It would be my choice, there fast hulls, and still river friendly.
if a light hull and rigged and setup correct....oh yeah there fast...in a lake weight hull a 19 will run a tad over 100 with about 900-1000 hp..stable as a rock..lol.ur results may vary.... but they start to get a bit "interesting" at over 120...:)grn:)grn

**Btw I run at 4500 ft so faster at normal elevations, I have rigged and set up maybe 10-12 18's, 19's and CP tunnels
lees power

you can get to 100 with 650 hp easy enough
Well thanks for the replies but I decided to keep my old boat.:)devil

I would have to agree on this:D
Is there many 18' hulls out there? I have one and seems like all the ones I run into are 19'?

I have an 18, there are lots of 18's out there

There sure aren't many of those running around. The only CP GW I've ever seen run 100 with even anything close to only 650 hp was Segni's (Blue Bomber) Built 468 maybe 675 hp it ran 105 off the Nos. Light boat less than 550 lbs and don't even think about walking across the bow.

There are a few guy here that know the boat I think Ron won 6 Championships with it? It was dialed in and he had a shit load of time in it to do it. I'd like to see a 19' GW "Lake" boat run 100 with 650 HP. Not saying it can't be done but knowing what Segni did to get his to do what he did I don't see Joe Blow making it happen.

Doesn't any one ever keep track of records? I m not Joe blow, but my 18' cp 460" chevrolet still holds the ski jet record (sorry Ron Segni) and the comp jet record, both et and mph. Best pass 8.64 et at 121 mph. Hope this sets the record straight.

I don't recall mentioning any records :)bulb And a racer of your caliber is certainly no "Joe Blow".

Curious, how common would it be for Joe Blow river racer to build a 650 hp 100 mph Jet ?(regardless of GW or not) from my experience not very common.

Have to talk later I'm headed to a meeting :)

well ill put my 2 cents in...full weight cp19, motor dynoed at 967...at 8000 ft (101 deg out) relative altitude it ran 101-102 on gps and stalker 2 radar set up and dialed in

cp 18..bottom done mid weight hull full interior, 850 hp on the dyno, 96 mph same conditions

we would gain about 4-6 mph at parker as opposed to r test lake.

not saying it cant be done but I think it would be very hard pressed for a full lake weight 19 to run 100 with 650 hp....we did a super light 18 (potato chip) with about 700 and it ran low 90's at altitude, still had 2 tanks and interior.

any way thats just what i have seen
My TX-19 Condor runs 92 without NOS. (NOS is there, 100 on each carb), 520 lbs hull with intake, gauges and steering. 468 BBC,12.8-1 comp, Merlin 345 heads, 715 lift, solid roller, tunnel ram, 850 DP. Dominator housing, AMT Bowl, Aggressor Bronze "B" imp, 2* back cut shoe, 3.5* ride plate. Engine has never been dyno'd.

I have done nothing as far as set-up since it went back together. I feel I have a lot to gain with some set-up work. I want the "Bitch" to be quick, not a lot faster. Any suggestions??

I'll take you for a ride in one once I get it rigged. ;)

Sincerely,
Joe Blow

I'll take you up on that. You're saying 100 mph with 650 HP lake boat :)bulb
And I'm not saying it can't be done but it won't be easy. I'd sure like to do one in my next life. :)grn I'm thinking 650 HP at 6,500 for starters.

As I was headed to my meeting I remembered the first engine Segni had in that "Blue Bomber" when I met him was a .060 over 427 so I think it was a 440" maybe only 650 hp +/- . I'll give him a call tomorrow.

Only (suggestion).......92 at what rpm ? and where do you think the engine makes it power? I'd bet you're making more that 650 HP with that engine. What do you think?

oh yeah, dyno the engine so you know what you're working with.

S CP :D
6100 rpm, what is the HP? You have the charts.

I have $800.00 reason why it has not been dynod'. I feel 100 mph is well within reach, but I want the QUICK. Most lake racing is well below 1/4 mile. If I can take it to the track, $, setup will be different!!
