Worked a little overtime today, finally got some hot weather here in Michigan. I run HVAC service. Last call in an area thats a little rough. Well on the way home, stop at a traffic light and notice two guys on the corner yelling at me and giving me the finger. Cant hear what their saying because I got the air on. (88 degrees today). Yea, I have a job, billboard of a truck, and now I think they are going to run up to the truck and who knows what they could do. Cant believe it. Light turned green, not fast enough, got the hell out of there. F-ing people.

Yea, I quess its my fault. Put myself through school, campaigned for myself, if I can do it, anyone can. It all about making the right choice's. Well, thats what I think.

I realize your plight. I happened to mistakenly get off the highway in Detroit for gas. I'm not sure exactly which area, but it was still burned out from the riots years/decades ago......The first pump I pulled up to had no nozzle, just a hose hanging. Then I noticed the restroom had NO door.....Hmmm, a quick look around and I turned on the headlights at 3PM so I could see to leave....Ray

I hear you! I'm originally from London and it's been like that back there ever since I can remember, unfortunately it's getting more like that here lately.

All I can say is just make sure you have the right tools to defend yourself and "walk softly and carry a big stick". It's so bad that you have to think like that but these are the times we're in. And it's going to get worse before it gets better!!!

I hear you! I'm originally from London and it's been like that back there ever since I can remember, unfortunately it's getting more like that here lately.

All I can say is just make sure you have the right tools to defend yourself and "walk softly and carry a big stick". It's so bad that you have to think like that but these are the times we're in. And it's going to get worse before it gets better!!!

Very sad isn't it. I have a 11 year old and try not to say anything bad about anyone. I wont tell him about this, dont want to worry him. He really does it know whats out there yet. I really dont know how to go about teaching him about this stuff.

Yea, you definitely wanna fill up outside of Detroit. Its not too bad during the day, but try to aviod it at night.

Night? How can you tell the difference. I saw looks, eye contact, that basically said to count my future in minutes. I was towing a friends race boat towards Valleyfield in the summer of 06, it was covered, but still a boat, behind a 68 F250 w/ a shell......Not exactly a quick getaway vehicle. I went west, to Romulus, and found an American Legion Hall. There I was able to get the "lay" of the land and instructions on how to get to Canada safely......That western drive through the riot area is etched into my mind. Especially when I found out the riot was more than 20 years ago!!!! and the store fronts were still just shells of buildings. Next time I think I'll go through Buffalo!!!!!......Ray

I do run service in the city. We request inside the gate parking for the trucks. It is ashame, all that water front and the city sucks.
