Me and wifey are trying to plan our vaction and the idea of going to Havasu popped up. We've never been to Havasu and with our love for boating we thought it would be a nice change from going out of the country or to FL. We're from TN so we would def. fly out and stay a week or so. The thoughts were to pick a nice place to stay(not sure where), rent a boat, enjoy the river/lake and take in some sun. Is there enough other things to do around town as in places to eat, bars etc.??? The other advantage of coming out is that we have plans for a relocation next year to the AZ area and this would def. give us some info on the area.

I would suggest renting one of the nice houses that are advertised in the spam section. "music to my ears" has a great place to rent and others do as well with some being only blocks from the water.

Not sure if you can fly direct into Havasu from Tennesse on commercial flight though, probably more like Vegas or Pheonix and then driving into Havasu. There are plenty of nice resteraunts, casino boats that pick you up and take you to the casino's, warm weather and beautiful sunsets.

Different types of boats to rent from ski boats to pontoons along with jet ski's also. It is pretty crowded on the weekends in town and on the water but during the week, the lake is great with less boats on it.

I nearly forgot the most important bit of boating advice ,if you see Mexicans in a bayliner use the 200 yard rule

Havasu is a great place to vacation. Weather is warm but so is the water for swimming. Good places to eat.

Rent a nice house or stay on the lake!

Good people and you may be able to see Phebus or Miguel!

London Bridge Resort. Right on the water, three pools, nice places to eat in the hotel and nearby, and if you don't want to take the boat out at night you can rent a slip right in front of your place. Nightclubs close, movies in walking distance. We used to stay there until we bought the house. Longer-term rental deals available, such as weekly. Check redweek.com for time share deals.

The week before Labor Day should be relatively quiet, compared to at Labor Day.

The wife would rather stay at a Hotel/Resort instead of renting a local house. She prefers the room service/made as to doing it all herself. What are the upper hotels/resorts in town that have pools etc.?
