I'm running a header water control valve ahead of my basset T, I left the spring and ball in the T, should I run just the valve or is it ok to leave the T inline as well?

If it were me, I would leave the tee there and in working order, call me paranoid, but cheap insurance if anyone else drives your boat.;)

I made the same thing on my Olds motor. I could control the amount of water going to the headers if I wanted it at all. I found myself turning it on ok long cruises to cool the engine area, and to muffle some of the noise. I did not have the spring in the T either. It was free flowing. If someone else drove the boat, it was dry headers.
