i know it was out of an older t deck, dever, runner bottom. it was bolted to the bell housing, then the driveline was run from it to the v drive. i know it has a whirl away in it, and if you pull the lever it releases (the lever is spring loaded) i believe its just an old whirl away, maybe used as an in out too, but maybe some of you can better id it.

also, is it worth anything, or should i junk it?

im going to through it on the spam section, any ideas as to what i should ask for it? i like to sell things a little on the cheap side to hook people up, but i dont want to just give stuff away. it does work like a whirl away!

If I'm not mistaken it look like a B&J in and out.Ran one on Showtime USA BGH 617.
thats funny, it came off of a lake boat named showtime, it became tony pulido's blown gas flat (show time #122), before he got the capsule deal. is it worth anything? im pretty sure its not a lenco part, and i dont think there are any clutches in it. it appears to be an in / out with a release.

so it is a b&j reverser. im guessing it was used for the whirl away type action, and as an in out, before whirl aways were availible. i cant turn it in reverse nearly as easy as a whirl away, so i dont think it is nearly as quick and effective as one in the v drive. ill have to throw it up on one of the drag car forums, seems like they run them still. thanks for all the help.

If it has a release in it then the car guys would not want it as they would not be able to back up with it. Spin it over and make sure it is not a reverser only. If it is a reverser and does not have a release in it then some crazy car guy like myself might have some interest, otherwise it will be best used in a boat. I am not sure if the Strasburgs have any of the parts to refurbish it if it is a prop release.

ok, so if i turn the input shaft counter clockwise, its locked up, and spins the output counterclockwise also. if i hold the input shaft i can continue to spin the output shaft counter clockwise. its not an easy release by hand, but it does release. or if i held the output shaft, i could turn the input clock wise.

i dont know anything about a reverser. i thought it would be used as a release on a drag car in case of an engine shut down, or you could pull the lever relaesing it manualy and easily push it backwards. but why would you need that with a clutch.
