Hope someone can point me (him) in the right direction. Have a good friend, has a boat, but he does not know squat about them other than you drive them to the lake, and put gas in it (gee imagine that!). He had me come out to his house because the last time he took it to the lake it was not running right. It' a 4.3L mercruzer 262ci engine. We hooked up the rabbit ears an fired it up, besides the slight misfire in it, I said whats the problem? He said...... listen and revved it up, I started screaming SHUT IT OFF!!! Rod knock! I asked besides putting fuel in it did you check the oil? and he looked at me like..... Well you get the picture. Any way can someone point me in the right direction where I can get him a long block at a decent price and swap it over for him? Then school him on how to check the oil. He is a good guy, our kids play together all the time, just needs a lot of direction when it comes to his boat. We are located in the 4 corners area of Colorado.

Thanks in advance! :)sphss

BTW it's a 1987

The best re-power is a genuine re-man from Mercruiser. One year factory warranty and a reasonable price.
