as far as i can see------bigger venturies, same throttle plate?????? = bigger carb?????

please help???

trying to make up my mind on what and which carb to buy, or upgrade mine??
thanx for any and all help!

i dont know the answer to ur ???, but, i do know that people have taken the 660's & put the 850 base plate on them & made them work fine...depending on ur application (motor, usage, etc), i would either upgrade the 650, especially if its a DP mech sec or shop for a 700DP or 750DP mech sec...both work fine on stock to mild motors...i have a 650DP mech sec modified by myself on a Edel air gap manif on a mild BBC 427 that works pretty damn good for my purpose...just my .02 cents

as far as i know , they wont ,, you can go from a 650 to a 750 with just the bodie change,, the way it works is the baseplates are the same on both, if you look at the top of a 650 bore compaired to the bottom , you can see the it is different, the bore it tappered,, on the 750 it is the same all the way through ,, i just put 750 hp bodies on my old 650s
Yes but what about the emoulsion tubes in the metering blocks? Wouldnt they have to be changed too?

I know it is cheaper to change bodys out but IMO you should look for a new 750 Holley stright out of the box! Problem solved! WT:)devil
works

Corndog just did Holley's kit to upgrade his 650 DP to 750s. Paid $135 a kit. Says it works very well. Has all gaskets and needed parts
The standard DPers use the same throttle plate, so yeah it's all in the main body.
