Home Surveillance Equipment...feedback?
Well it's time, I feel the need to mount 3-4 cameras with other related recording equipment.
Any feedback on 'good' moderately priced systems etc would be greatly appreciated.
Must be color, offer good night vision and of course be able to record.

Well...they moved in with 6 kids/animals 4/08
Lots of noise outside till late in the evening and no respect for anyones property. I first ask in a polite way " could you please turn it down a little it's late 10:30pm and I have to get up for work at 4am >the mother went off on me and I could see a trend starting. Last year they started with a open pit fire out front of the house, 25 years I've NEVER seen anyone burn a fire on their front lawn WTF, do they think they're camping at the mountains! When I told them the smoke was coming in my and other peoples homes(windows up/nice night) they got all pissed so, then I called the cops. When I come home from work the next day someone or something took a razor to my back screen door! Guess that was a warning for me...F'em!
Jump to two weeks ago...I always attend my township meetings once a month and I mention the "renters" are doing the open fires again...Chief of Police tells me just call 911 pronto. I come home from the meeting 7:30PM (nice night) and I could see the fire from down the block but this time it was 3' from the house. They see me drive by and of course they surmises I call 911, the cops were pissed and give them their final warning.
So...the very next night I hear the father (reminds me of Petter Griffin) talking to a 1/2 dozen or so juveniles 10/14 years old out back. It's dark but his flood light comes on (dumb F) but he can't see I'm standing at my rear kitchen slider over hearing everything...I hear the guy tell the kids to vandalize my property > he goes into detail and even tells them "I won't chase after them because of a bad knee". The retard even said he would buy the kids pizza for doing the deed. I hear EVERYTHING!
I call 911 and report what I heard, the next day I tell the township detective and Chief of Police and file a report...they tell me what he did is a Terroristic Threat!
The DA ok'ed a bench warrant for the fathers arrest. Juvenile Division is talking to the minors he spoke with and also charging him with influencing and corrupting the minds of juveniles.
The guy's ass can be in really hot water yet, his wife is still mouthing off outside about "I'm the assh*le"
sphss6-kids, neither of the parents work, and while I'm at work busting my ars I'm having chest pains about these animals and what they could do to my house/truck and especially my boat >I can't get insurance on.
PS... as it turns out, the local police know about this family...they've been bouncing around the township causing problems where ever they roost. >lucky me.

I think my neighbors are relatives of your neighbors. We have a mutual No Trespass. Meaning, neither one can step on each others property. To take it one step further, no one acting as an agent for another can step on anothers property. So they cant get the sons friends to come on my property and trash my stuff. You can also go to the courts and ask for a TPO (Temporary Protection Order). It would not even allow them to talk or look at you, its handled by the courts and you would get an emergency hearing in front of a judge.
