kind of reminds you of the rods you were originally going to put it that motor don't they hil:) nothing surprising here, that build was doomed from the beginning. :)hand
yes it does:)hand

actually gn7 the mill was doing great and he was very happy with the results.the issues i had seem to not have been the real reason it let go;)could have been he was racing a fountain{single engine} and he held it in rough water for about 2 miles to the floor with the pump going dry and then reloading,so im gonna guess the hyd roller lifter pumped up and then kaboom:)bulb

as always thanks for the comments, travis

Just a reminder, the Gen V block takes a different front cover, oil pan and heads. Most of the aftermarket heads will work on both so if you are going with Brodix you won't have to worry. You will have to run a Gen V head gasket though. (I hope you I did not bore you with stuff you already know.

Truck heads? What was Uncle Mark expecting? He could rebuild that same motor with a good set of BB-2 plus brodix heads, see a great performance improvment and save lots of money.

Inconel on the exhaust valve, no matter what head you use. If he is gonna run it like an offshore boat, the exhaust valve is gonna let go sooner or later. The guide clearance in another area over looked for marine engines, they need a bit more clearance than their asphalt cousins.
