Ummm would you call this steering nozzle play or,play at the pin angle? Fwiw(if you couldn't tell) the marker line was flush before I lifted the end of the pump up by hand. How tight should that be there, if I had to guess I'd say I'm moving it up between an 1/8" and 1/4".

FWIW i assembled mine last night, and it has very little if any movment, what droop are you running?
AT droops require those black nylon bushings and if you use those white ones it will have some play

Thanks Paul

If your talking about the o-ring around the nozzle it's self, I didn't know that was replaceable(yes it's white). As far as what droop, I'm not sure of that. I'd need to make a call/pm. Btw glad to hear your pump is together.:)grn

Odd, I assembled mine last night too. But I didn't use any black nylon bushings in my AT droop and mine does have some play in it. Do you have a pic or a part number for those black bushings? If you use the black bushing do you still use the white bushing or does the black one replace it? Thanks!

I'll bite

O.k. Tom what's the cure? New nozzle? Just bushings? Even if I put new bushings in it won't make the play/space go away between the droop and the nozzle. Is it even worth worrying about?:)sphss

Kreg when new trims are installed its somewhat difficult to even get the pins in (very tight) , that said the two stainless pins in our experience almost never show any wear , my guess is the loosness is in the pin boss bores in the nozzle adaptor ? Tom

btw those two seals (inner and outer) are well under $20

they are like the white ones only thicker
part #B2401 I think, I'll call AT Monday and confirm it.

Kreg the part # for the nylon O ring is 3-139
and the Dbl, Teflon seal for the inner (up Down) is 3-140
these are Place part #'s

if Tom sells them for "well under" $20 you better get them from him, I just payed $19 for the inner one:mad:
Too late, I already spent the $50 bill on the inner and outer seals and 6 white pin bushings for the diverter. It sounds like I got the wrong bushings for my AT droop though.

ok confirmed with AT, the black nylon bushing is part # B2401
or you can get brass #B2201

the white nyliner fits 13/16 hole and the black fits a7/8 hole

AT told me thats how some peeps repair a worn droop
drill it out to a 7/8 and use a # B2401

Mine's at the upholsterer's right now. I got it back last week but didn't like the fit and finish so I sent it back. Hopefully it'll turn out nice.

She ran pretty good, I took it easy on her being a new mill and all, plus my air/fuel #'s were looking a little lean. I did take her up to about 70 on the way back to the ramp. She had a little more in her.
