I just purchased a 19 foot what registration says is a cheetah. But from what iv been told cheetah never made a 19' with the same rounded sides like a rogers or miller. Iv done alot of looking and it doesnt seem to match a miller aswell. The part of the deck with the gauges has the same downward curve like a rogers cyclone? It is a jet, i will get some pics up tomorrow during the day light. any info would be much apprechiated

There should be a tag with HIN # next to forward reverse lever on a plate or hin # stamped into the hull far rite top rear of boat That should tell all?

my dads has the tag next to forward/reverse lever but not HIN on the transom (not mandatory till 73?)

well i belive the boat has been repainted atleast once, and the tag is off. and i cannot see any other markings. And the gauges cluster looks almost identical to your cyclone. ill post up the pic tomorrow to compare.

It could also be a tahiti. They were built in the same shop at the time I believe. Old Rigger would have to chime in on this to confirm. I also think Glenco boats were a "splash" of the rogers hull.

Interesting. it is my first full stringer boat and is super solid. My other boat 79 jetster is a spalsh off sidewinder. and the 16' tahitis look the same. But i have not seen any tahiti's with the rolled back and the interior that angles back as it heads to the transom from the front. thanks for the info thus far!

My dads is only 3/4 stringer. Stringers stop at front seats

how long is it? mine is 19ft and possibly 4inches? need to measure to be exact. but the stringrs stop about a foot or 2 before the tip of the boat. they go well past the seats.

I dont think roger made a 19' in 1970. only an 18' (17' 10") and a 17' (16' 6"). the next flat deck to come out was a super cyclone (71?). but that was still only an 18'. then I think the bubble deck Bonneville 18 (17' 10") then the bubble deck Bonneville TR 19 (18' 9") then a mini day cruiser 20' (20' 4")

There's your answer.

Glenco was the same as a Weiman, not a Rogers although Roger did offer the same hull. Tahiti built Mr. Weiman's hulls, not Rogers. Roger would turn in his grave if people thought that. Tahiti, at that time, built tanks. More glass in their hulls than anyone else was building, but Rogers stuff was nice. Really nice.

By the way, Cheetah introduced their all new 19 foot jet in August 1967 and it had the rounded sides like you mentioned. So if your boat is registered as a Cheetah it probably is.

Hot Boat did a feature/boat test on Bob Burns newest effort, 427 BBC/Berk setup and it ran 63 mph.

oh ok, i was told cheetah never made a round side like the rogers. and the boats actual length is 18' 7" or 18'6" getting a pic or to in a minute.

I could be wrong but I believe the difference in the 2 is the weiman was layed up by Tahiti and the Roger was layed up by Roger himself. Other than that, identical!

yea i would be really pleased to have a rogers boat for name sake. but either way it is very solid layup so im happy with it. just need to get it cleaned up and power put in. thx for all the info already and the info coming guys.

Looking at your pics.. that isn't a Rogers. I would have to agree with Old Rigger and say its a Cheetah.

Who's telling you this stuff?

A Rogers, the 18 anyway, should measure out at about 17' 10" ...if memory serves.

I can't tell anything from the pics, can you get a shot of the top of the rear deck, the transom and the front of the bottom?
