General consensus is - if it had a 4150 instead of that junky old quickfuel it might make some steam.:)coffee

My new motor has a quick fuel carb. I am not familiar with them...what is the drawback?

That's the $64 question with this one. I have no idea what it'll pull given the valve train. We're doing something with the .903 hyd. lifters that I don't think has been done yet. I intend to pull well into the 7's, just not sure what it's going to do. Has a lot of spring pressure. "Target" peak power should be in the 6800rpm range.

Happy Easter Scott.

If you are going to run it that hard it could be worth another 25 from what I stated. the heads are good for 840+ just not sure what the hyd roller is going to do. ..... I'll revise based off your rpm range and say 835 +/- 7.5 hp ( so a 15 hp range)

edit: a spacer would be worth 10 hp on this deal ...... so revise again.... 825 +/- 7.5 hp. ;) final number

Thanks Jon...happy Easter to you.
FWIW, made over 900 with a lot less cyl head. We'll see. If the lifters can handle the cam and springs, this thing should rock pretty good.

Aside from some available manifold issues, which I'm sure you can deal with, have you any plans to try a set of AFR 300 oval ports on a similar build?
No.
