So, I'm all packed up and ready to head home yesterday. The last thing I need to do is back my truck up & get in the car and head out. Walk out to the truck, and it cranks great, but no fire. I'm stuck, Sunday afternoon, 120'+ degrees, and any normal shop is going to be closed. I have no real tools out there & no clue where to start on a Chevy Diesel.

I post a thread looking for Darrell because I no longer had his number. Then I call another board member for his numbers (Thanks Rick!), call Darrell at the shop where he is already working on another project. I explain my situation, just hoping he could get to the Islander in the next day or so and arrange to have my truck towed to where ever he needs it so he can take a look at it.

Darrell drops what he's doing, picks up what tools and parts he thinks he's going to need to take a look at it. Comes on over to the park and has my truck running great within an hour. Pulled codes, nothing, but was a bad fuel filter. I had replaced it about 8k miles ago, but my truck sits for months down there & gets driven about 5 miles a month, that can't be great for fuel.

So, on a Sunday afternoon, I get a house call and my truck fixed for less than what I would have spent had I been able to drive my truck to the dealer.

There's that old saying, pick two of the three, Service, Quality or Price, you can't have all three. Well with Robinson Automotive, you don't have to choose, you'll get all three.

Thanks Darrell! And if anyone is looking for a Honest, Quality mechanic to work on their vehicle, please give him a shot.

Glad it worked out Billy.....

Great job Darrell...:).I'm going to call you to do some work on my Excursion at the end of the month....
About 3 weeks ago a friend of mine who is a Sheriff for San Bernardino County and his family and some friends (about 10 of them) are loaded into the Excursion to head home
on a 110 degree Sunday evening. They get to the edge of town and one of the front disc brake systems fails and brakes into pieces. He has to be to work first thing in the morning and so does his wife and some of the teenagers and it's HOT. So they call me and I call Darryl--Shadow and the problem was solved within a few hours. they made it home
that night with time to spare. Thanks Darryl!
