All of these deaths lead to a whole lot of questions that the media doesn't cover. Why does a 12 year old have a play gun with the orange tip removed? Maybe parents responsibility. Garner in NY arrested something like 22 times. Were any of these violent? If I'm a cop am I going up to a 300+++ lb. guy with a "hi buddy whatcha up to today" attitude? The banger in Ferguson was a criminal , theft is still a crime and this guy also was a big dude and he comes into the police car window. I know what my reaction is to a guy who is reaching for my weapon and I'm restrained in a car. It probably took quite a few rounds of 9mm to stop a guy that large. The larger question is how can anyone be a cop today and why would you want to? Decide in less than a heartbeat to shoot someone or die yourself; in the same time decide whether you want to be a victim of a law suit; at the same time will your family be a target of retribution; will you lose your job while being second guessed? Support your local police don't be a criminal.

Not sure if I would consider it a riot, but several "protesters" were arrested last night.

Also: "His health problems, including asthma and obesity, were contributing factors, the medical examiner said."

They trashed the city years ago, so if they did anything like Ferguson, you'd never know it.
Can you imagine what New York would be like w/o the NYPD? DiBlasio is an idiot! Maybe Gruber was "right" about the electorate.

Electing Obama has most definitely "furthered" our race relations......only problem is; Obama furthered the relations according to his agenda and objections... which is by far NOT in the best interest to our Country's well-being....

WAKE UP LIBERALS!!!......The biggest scam ever pulled on the America people = OBAMA!
Liberals, you did not vet your nominee and your elected Congress did not read the bills they passed .......Next time, please be a little more careful with who you wish for and the detrimental SHIT you pass as bills.....your mistakes have proven to by very COSTLY and DAMAGING FOR ALL OF US!

I will say if they just would have went with police brutality and not this race BS I think they would have had a better argument. As for the guy selling cigarettes in new york, THE MAN WAS SELLING SINGLE FUCKING CIGARETTES! How the fuck is that illegal anywhere?? And how the fuck should anyone be arrested for it? If anything it should have been a simple ticket if that. Also you know when you are chocking someone out. If you have done it before (like I'm sure the cop has) there is a big difference between controlling someone by the neck and trying to put someone down and out by the neck. This was not a life or death fight for the cop so he should have never tried to put the guy out.
Sorry, I wont stick up for an over zealous cop. Seen it to many times in the city. I know they deal with the worst of what crap people can come up with on a daily basis but if they can not rise above it they need to get out. But who am I, I also think if you go to jail no matter where it is or what its for you shouldn't have to worry about getting gang raped or shanked in your cell. Just crazy like that.:hmmm:

NY has about a $5.00 per pack TAX, by far the highest in the country. This guy was selling single "UN TAXED" cigarettes to the locals in front of stores that must sell TAXED cigarettes for something like $9.50 or more per pack.. The local Indians can sell untaxed cigarettes on the Reservation to OTHER Indians, but not to non Indians.. Indians DO sell those untaxed cigarettes to NY City stores, and the stores DO get busted for it... This guy had been arrested 2 dozen or more times for this exact same thing. The Police contacted him that day because of merchant complaints, not because he was black, or brown, or purple with pink dots... Had he just complied with the Police when they tried to arrest him, he would be alive today, (unless his other health issues killed him), and quite likely selling untaxed cigarettes somewhere else in NYC.
Selling untaxed cigarettes in NYC is a BIG DEAL with a Police unit assigned full time to bust offending stores who sell them without the NYC tax stamp on them....

He has been busted 31 times. And you are right. He was resisting arrest. Not for over zealous cops either, but watch the video f_n. The guys is like 6'6" tall and all the cops are about 5'5" it looked like. It took 4 or more of them to bring him down. Should they have choked him out? No. But should he have surrendered peacefully, yes.

Just like Micheal Brown, had either not shown aggressive behavior, we would be disguising this. To go further out on a limb, if they had been white we wouldn't be either.

But see that's what I'm talking about. We all know someone if it wasn't themselves that has had a run in with a cop and they wasn't in the most cooperative moods, right or wrong. Should they all be thrown to the ground and choked out? Maybe thrown to the ground but not choked out. I will be the first one to say the guy was wrong and was going to jail (over a legal product that has a 100+% tax on it, figure that out) but there is a reason it was against department policy to do what the cop did. Its dangerous. You add adrenalin, a guy who is trying to resist, a guy yanking on his head and neck and 3 other guys yanking in other directions. What could go wrong??
You see I come from a time and place that if you ran from the cops you made a stop under the Ostend St bridge before you got to the police station for your trouble. I've seen the results first hand and knew 3 people that received settlements from the city because of it. One is brain damaged to this day all over having a argument with his girlfriend on the street and telling the cop to get out of his face. Cop arrested him with help of two others, just a little push and shoving and in the car he went handcuffed. He literality looked like a car ran him over in his mug shot. They said he fell down the stairs (only stairs were in the front of the building, public entrance). Now that was 25 years ago and I don't live there anymore but even just the other day I was listening to a story on the radio about how a kid was picked up for something (in perfect health) and ended up dead before he made it to Central Booking. And don't even get me started on Central booking. They have been trying for years to get all the dirty guards out of there.
I'm not saying all cops are bad but Home Depot did a survey a while back and they found if you do a good job the customer maybe will tell 7 people. If you do a bad job they will tell 31 people. It don't take many bad cops to spoil the bushel.

I see the latest casualty is in Phoenix according to the local news. Hell , there were protests here in Pittsburgh the last few days. Two years a black kid was shot here after he tried to flee cops and injured one or two with his car, he's in a wheelchair for life after being shot by the cops. The protests were so extreme, no actually you couldn't find anyone if needed a light for your smoke. I say the protester wanted ads are probably running like they were for the Wall Street protests. How do the cops manage to find so many unarmed black criminals? I thought people were afraid of the black neighborhoods because they are armed encampments.

I know what you are saying. There is definitely a problem. That is why I have always been very passive in my run ins with the law, and I had quite a few when I was young and street racing.

The officer was wrong for choking him out. It has to be pretty intimidating having to handle some one of that size. It would be hard to imagine what they were going through not actually being in their shoes.

I finally found an uncut unedited version of the video. It doesn't appear to me that he choked him long enough to kill him.

Shit I've choked my own brother out harder than that.

After seeing this, I think it is ironic that the vid that the guy shot criticizing the police in actuality seems to benifit the cops.

The only reason the term "choke hold" is still being used to describe what happened is because it fits the narrative the media is pushing. Just like "hands up don't shoot" . We know that didn't happen either, but you wouldn't know that from media reporting. Agenda and ratings!! They will fan the flames of these situations into an inferno so they can have something to report on for weeks. And how was this a race issue? Because the libs want it to be a race issue.
