Interesting what people do when you dont give in to their whims.

I'd been loaning a guy some software to do some work and hes refused to pay or even really negotiate.

I cut him off.

Now this person (a multimillionaire businessman from India) is threatening me.

This person has a reputation for taking people out in the streets and beating them up back in India and the guy is basically a thug....

***ing great.......

So we've let a known thug immegrate to the US. Well you have two options, get beat up or do something about it. If you opt for number 2, you should consider a means of self defense as the police can't do anything without proof and it is doubtful you have any.

Good luck with this

The only good Indian is a dead Indian. :D
Sorry, couldn't help it.
I've seen something similar to this. In India you have an ancient caste system, the higher ups can get away with murder. They have a houseful of servants.
You might have to show him that you have friends and connections that could make him uncomfortable.
Things are lot easier here in the South, you just have a bunch of friends visit his house at nite. :D

"You will Pay for this" - not sure what that means but it sounds like a threat to me.

I know about the guys past because I interviewed 2 ex-employees that told me his MO is to have people roughed up that dont play along.

The guy is a known thug. Plain and simple.

I was in a situation years ago where I was being threatened. I even had my truck shot up in front of my house. I talked to a friend who was a cop about it, and he told me that I should start packing. He said that even though I didn't have a permit, if I got caught packing, I could show I was in in fear because of what happened, and most likely the legal system would be sympathetic. My advice if you are really afraid is file a police report so there is some documentation of the threat, and go get yourself a nice .45, and learn how to use it.

It could have been a physical threat, or he could just be threatening that he would go to your company and complain about you, or take his business elsewhere. With his alleged MO, I wouldn't take any chances though.

For once I agree with you Ram. Better tried by 12 than carried by 6

I don't take chances either - good advice for anyone.

I stepped up to one of these, since crime is ramping-up. Still on order/being built. Not that common. 10mm, basically a ".40-magnum". Same .40 cal bullet with a longer casing:

Have you shot a 10mm? There are 2 loads for this round. A reduced FBI load that is about the same as the .40, and the full power load. The problem with the full power load is that the recoil is hard to control and could affect accuracy, especially if you need to fire a lot of shots.

I have read a three studies from the government about what to look for in a handgun. Two of these studies (one by the Marines, and one by the Army) were conducted on live pigs, dead pigs, and human cadavers. The third (from the FBI) was conducted on ballistic gelatin. The Army one was done in the early part of the 20th century, before hollowpoints, the FBI study was done in the 80's, and the Marine study was done either in 1995 or 2005, I can't remember which. The last two studies concluded that hollowpoint bullets do not reliably expand from handguns. Most of the time, they will plug up with clothing of the guy you shoot and act as ball ammunition. All three studies concluded the most imporatant thing in handgun ammunition is to have reliable penetration (12" to 18") deep enough to hit the vital organs of what you are shooting. The only bullets that reliably penetrated this deep were bullets that weighed 200 grains or more. The lighter bullets also have a tendency to deflect when they hit bone, where the heavier bullets go through the bone, causing even more damage. That is why it is hard to improve upon 230 grain ball for a good .45. I know that some people think hollowpoints in handguns are better because law enforcement uses them. The reason law enforcement uses them is they hope the bullet expands so it does not go through whatever they shoot, thus limiting the chance of collateral damage. Rifle bullets have much more energy behind them than any handgun bullet so hollowpoints do expand reliably out of rifles and often times results in catostrophic wounding.

Ram- Im pretty well armed, but that is good advice no less.

My carry piece of choice is an SP-101 with 357's in it.

Im very proficient and practiced with this machine.

Note decades of police data show the 357 to be the most effective single shot stopper of any calibre.
