Can anyone help us definitively identify our Tahiti with Berkeley Drive? Reg: says 1980 Runabout, HIN TAH30068M80H. We are reluctantly selling and want to make sure we price appropriately. Then again with all the water we got this winter we might be talked into another season!

Looking at the pics, I'd guess you have a 19' mini day cruiser. Tahitis were among the most mass produced of the jet era. When your boat was built, I think Tahiti was owned by Bell industries. While they are not the best built hulls, there is nothing wrong with them. Value would depend on a number of factors. Overall condition and engine/pump details would top the list.

Does it still have a capacity label? Sometimes the builders put the model name on the capacity label. The label should look like this.

This is a label for an inboard. If they put the model name on it, it would be just above the manufacturer name. (this one the name is fictitious). The other way to find the model is to very carefully measure the boat, length, maximum beam, width, weight, and type of engine. Then see if you can find it in the NADA or BUC used boat price guides.

You might also find this interesting. Tahiti History
Do a search on images for 1980 Tahiti Jet boats. You may find one that matches yours that has the model name.

John nailed it. We also built a 21 version of the same hull. Bottom was used on a few different models. At Hawaiian (Tahiti pt. II) the little open bow called the moonraker used that bottom.
I think it was actually called the 19 Mini Cruiser, or 21 Mini. The 20 Classic which came out in either '74-5, one of my all time favorite hulls, kinds shoved this one aside.

Wow, that is nice. I think a lot about kicking the jet habit and buying a (more) sensible boat. But the thought of parting with my TR always stops those thoughts.

Besides, my kid stores his Centurion ski boat at the house, so I end up using it more than him most seasons. ;)

If I had a Roger's it'd be a keeper too.
