Hey guys i was just wondering the berkely website calls for only 75 ft. lbs. on the nut that holds the imp. on is that right?? seems low thanks michael

My stock nut was stainless, and a Nylock, 75 pounds would be plenty.

Replacement 3 years ago was aluminum, and was told "make it real-tight". :D

Locktite isn't a bad idea, the blue stuff #242, not red 271 or green 260. :)bulb

The biggest reason for using the loctite is not for keeping the nut on, but the water out of the threaded area. 70-75# is about right, my buddy always says TDB....(tight, don't break).
