Seems like you got a good start. I am no expert but I have built a few BBF's and have tried a few different cams. What are you going to do with the boat? What kind of exhaust? That cam seems a bit small especially if your going to be running two 750dp's. I really like solid rollers on BBF's. I ran a small one with great sucess, but they are pricey. If your going to run headers get a bigger cam(maybe something like this comp cam 34-241-5 )))00000000000099)99 .) I ran this small roller with a tunnel ram and 2- 750Dps Comp Cams 34-700-9 [5] . Hope this helps. I am sure (Lakesonly) or others will chime in with better advice.

I'm running bassett through transom headers. The description on this cam (34-241-5) says I need to run headers with it. Also says head modificaion is required..What modification???? So now I need to know what direction to go, do I run the Comp 34-241-5, or do I run the Crane 354551? Suggestions??

Dang nobody else? The head modification is probabley refering to double springs( have to be machined for this) and adjustable valve train( Which I am assuming you already have). I would run anything bigger than the crane. I vote for the Comp Cam :))THumbsUp. Try this website if nobody else replys 460 Ford Forum

You should run whatever Spring Crane recommends with that Cam................

As for the rest, what suggestions are you looking for if you already have all these parts???????????

Hey nos, I'm going to go ahead and order the cam this week. I talked to Paul (lakesonly) last week, talk about a guy that knows his stuff.:))THumbsUp:))THumbsUp The cam subject didn't come up, but I did my research on the cam and am gonna run it, gonna order the whole kit so its all the right parts. I'm on 460.com almost everyday thats where I got all the info on this build, and a few parts.

Turtle, yeah I have 99% of the parts just making sure I was running the right combo, thanks for suggestions and opinions.

if you get it all right it should be somewere in the mid 500s.... depends on ports, ignition type, how good the carbs are? and timing/quality of the build/machine work and getting the cam in the right spot..

THATS GOOD FOR STARTERS I would have liked to see the compression a little higher
