You read that and all you see is the end of the GOP. I see alot more problems than that brought up in it.

Both parties need to realize that we CAN NOT be the promised land for all the people of the world; Two hundred years ago we needed new immigrants to get this country going....even one hundred years ago, but, now we have enough (Maybe too many) and need to convert from "give us whatever you got!" to "Give us only people who have something to offer".......And I am not in any way trying to be racist; I would like to see Mexico become a truly viable country where everyone is happy, but it ain't gonna happen if we continue to be the "Safety valve for all the malcontents" as the Mexican president said while stating his view of his neighbors to the north....

ALL illegals- and their kids(I wouldn't dream of spliting families up!)- go back where you came from and fix your own damn country!!!

Circling the bowl....

Yes, the bowl is circling... The final flush is in progress..... But it isn't the GOP, or the Dims, trying to keep their heads above the water, it is the USA.... Our Country is on a downward spiral, a spiral we may never pull out of..... Just exactly what Soros wants, another third world shithole to run roughshod over..... Z, what's going to happen to your Gov't retirement checks, or my Social Security retirement checks, when the Gov't turns their pockets inside out and says there isn't anymore money?? At the rate our Gov't is giving away OUR money to people other than US, we as a Country are DOOMED..... Look at this as the only way America could be defeated, economically, from within, and then look no further than Washington DC to find the true enemies....
Ray

PS We're STILL giving China BILLIONS in "Humanitarian Aide" every month, even though we have to BORROW the money from China to do it..... What is wrong with THAT picture?? And, as usual, you can't make this shit up....

Depressingly you are 100% correct. Our economic house of cards is teetering on collapse... And you are right, not just one party or president has done it to us. The powerful and money grubbing corporatists and their puppet politicians have done it to us in the name of huge profits.
IMO there is no doubt the Military Industrial Complex will soon start more war maybe leading to WW3 to save their economic asses which will doom us..Remember the big fall hard...At worst we will be a nation of bankrupted nuke survivors. At best we will be bankrupt nation and similar culturally to Brazil.

As for me, I'm just one of millions who will have to weather the coming storms as best as we can.....As people in many other countries have had to do.
Americans have not seen real disaster since the civil war. What may be coming will make that dispute pale by comparison.

The status quo = Guaranteed major failure of America.

Like everyone else I thought a little hope and change from what Shrub had done to this nation would have been a good thing. Unfortunately there has been little change for the better...Business as usual in D.C. is how things are run.....Yes Obama is my president just as he is yours. I assume you are an American citizen ? Anyway I did not vote for Obama or McStain. I voted for a third party then as I will likely do again in 2012...

How did that third party candidate work out for you? Not that the republic. Cand Was any good and I will give you that in 08. But we can go two ways in 2012 and sticking with a free capitalist thinking candidate that had run businesses and a state would be the right way to vote. Or you could vote for that third party cand. Again and let the current prez completely destroy this once great nation with his bs.

I was watching Bill Maher last night and he said you would think Obama is a moderate Republican from the 90s if you looked at what he has done while he is in office. Yet the looney bin thinks he is a socialist.hil:)

It doesn't really matter what I do. Politics is a rich man's game. Wealthy political donors pay big bucks to play and win big bucks...for the sole purpose of influencing voters and reaping the pay back IOUs $$$$$$ if their candidate wins....Sorry, your one vote and my one vote are insignificant and generates no IOUs! ....I assume you are not a big money donor on Mitt's VIP list.....
Look at the unbelievable amount of money these 2012 campaigns are projected to collect and spend. Is this really how our nation should properly decide who it's leader are going to be ??? This IOU payback tax money distribution to benefit donors is why our nation is governed is such a wasteful manner no matter who wins :))ThumbsDwn

I feel sorry for him!.... You're right, Extreme conservatives think he is a socialist. The real socialists think he is a closet conservative!

If you look at the way the system is set up, especially now after Citizens United, the only people with a real voice in how this country is run are the people with big money (including corporations because they are considered people now too). The average American has no voice because his vote means nothing. It doesn't matter who gets elected, all the politicians are on the take, bought and paid for by those with big money. Right or Left doesn't matter, it's big money calling the shots and everyone else is just along for the ride.

I was talking to a friend who is from Poland and we were discussing this and he said the saying back in Poland during the Warsaw Pact days was "if you can't beat them, join them." This of course was regarding the communist party. My friend said that the communist party was extremely unpopular back then, and if you joined it, you would lose all of your friends because you would be shunned. But the upside was you lived a much better life, got better housing, jobs, and everything else, plus you ended up making new friends with other communists. And when Poland switched from communism to democracy, all those people in the communist party made millions because they were given opportunities the non communists weren't.

What is the point to this? Why fight it? Become active in your local political party. That way you might make some connections or be given an opportunity to benefit from the crooked political system here in the US. Look at Doc, he claims he is a Republican precinct something another bullshit position. But I bet through that, he has made some connections or gained some opportunities where he has gained financially. All he has to do is repeat the GOP bullshit rhetoric and act like he buys into their propeganda (which he does very well) and they all look on him favorably. He sold his soul but he probably reaped huge benefits from it. So to all here upset with the way politics in America works, don't fight it, join it.

That way you might make some connections or be given an opportunity to benefit from the crooked DNC political system here in the US. Look at RTI, he claims he is a Democrat operative something another bullshit position. But I bet through that, he has made some great drug connections or gained some illicit opportunities thru ACORN where he has gained financially. All he has to do is repeat the DNC bullshit rhetoric and act like he buys into their propeganda (which he does very well) and they all look on him favorably. He sold his soul to the DNC but he probably reaped huge benefits from it. So to all here upset with the way politics in America works, don't fight it, join it.
Tuned it up for ya RTI... Glad to be of service.;)
